About the role:

A “newly created” opportunity for an Operations Leader to join a rapidly expanding global medical devices organisation. The Regional Operations Manager South is responsible for leading and overseeing day‑to‑day Warehouse operations across Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia.

Reporting to the Head of Operations ANZ, the successful incumbent provides strategic direction across operational performance and end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash processes. The position will lead continuous improvement initiatives that drive cost efficiencies, embed best‑practice ways of working, and ensure full adherence to the Quality Management System. You will play a critical part in shaping, strengthening, and future‑proofing the regional operation, enabling operational excellence and sustainable business growth.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead day‑to‑day state warehouse operations, including dispatch, receiving/returns, inventory, and loan kit inspections
  • Partner with FP&A to drive cost savings and operational performance
  • Manage loan booking scheduling and drive effective loan set and inventory utilisation
  • Identify consignment improvement opportunities using Power BI insights
  • Ensure compliant cold‑chain biologics handling across inbound, outbound, and inventory
  • Drive loan cockpit efficiency through SAP and performance metrics
  • Own finished goods inventory, challenging obsolescence and slow‑moving stock
  • Develop, monitor, and report operational KPIs and performance metrics
  • Ensure SOPs and work instructions align with ISO and QMS requirements
  • Partner with 3PL providers to drive continuous improvement and cost control
  • Actively manage operating costs across labour, freight, and resources
  • Manage freight provider performance to meet DIFOT targets
  • Lead operational improvement and optimisation projects
  • Provide strategic leadership, development, and engagement of the Operations team

 

 

About the Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related discipline preferred
  • 3+ years’ management experience in loan kitting or warehouse operations, ideally within medical devices
  • Experience in the medical device industry and/or managing loaner programs strongly preferred
  • Proven SAP proficiency
  • Experience with loan rooms and reverse logistics
  • Strong Excel skills
